Micheal Haran studied at the Slade School of Fine Art from September 1989 to December 1991. He practised as an artist in the 1990’s before moving into interior design and property renovation. Throughout his life he has had a passion for travel, exotic places and archeology and consequently has traveled extensively through his adult life.

In 2012 he moved to Iquitos in Peru to study Amazonian plant spirit Shamanism. After returning to the UK with his young family and felt the need to express himself again through a creative medium. He returned to painting in 2018.

His work is primarily abstractions from nature, trying to create definitions of emotional states through using forms, colour and mark making as painterly as possible.
