‘Texture’ scans

The most common and most useful scan for clients is a basic ‘flat’ lighting scan. With this scan the object is lit equally from both sides of the sensor, giving a completely even effect.

In addition to a ‘flat’ scan, CHD offers a selection of texture effects which can show surfaces features of the work. Because of the way that this works and due to the ‘off-setting’ of the lights, the available size of the object that can be covered is smaller than possible with a ‘flat’ scan.
